G5 Tekan™ II Mechanical Broadheads 3 Pack
The Tekan™ II design provides greater strength, more durability, and increased penetration. The first of its kind, the 3-bladed Tekan™ II is built on a solid stainless steel ferrule that incorporates patented MonoFlow™ Technology for quickness, accuracy and supreme cutting power. An innovative method of deploying the sliding blades with minimum energy provides maximum impact and penetration, and the built-in ratcheting system ensures that the blades remain expanded after deployment. Cutting diameter after deployment is 1-5/16".
The, all new, Tekan™ II is the second generation mechanical that has improved blade retention and is compatible to all arrow types/sizes. Featuring a robust one-piece stainless steel ferrule construction, the Tekan™ II  contains no pins or screws and also has a tough 5/8" cut-on-contact tip. In flight, the main blades are held closed and secured with an o-ring. Not only does this o-ring secure the blades in flight, but actually helps “spring” open the .040" thick replaceable blades once the target is hit. The main blades, once deployed, travel rearward down the channel of the ferrule, all in the blink of an eye. The handy washer, also included in the package, prevents and protects your arrow and insert from damage. Bar none this is the mechanical of choice.

I have shot 3 deer with the Tekan II broadhead and have recovered each of them within 50 yds. The broadheads are very durable, and are unbeatable as far as penetration goes. The blades seem to hold their edge for sharpness even after complete passthroughs on big Iowa deer. I would have to say that I am not pleased with the blood trails from these heads however. Like I said I have harvested 3 deer with these heads and every deer, even with a complete passthrough shot, did not leave a bloodtrail to follow(and these are factory sharpened, right out of the package heads). It seems like the skin on the deer seems to close over the wound channel or something and prevents external blood loss. I have found the best experience in simply watching the flight of the animal after the shot, and going directly to the last spot where the deer was seen. The animal has always been within30 yds of that location. This morning there was a pretty good snow storm that came through our area and I shot a mature doe right behind the left shoulder, and exited low and in the center of the right shoulder, and absolutely NO blood trail even in the snow. I followed her tracks however and found her within 50 yds. I took up the trail within 5 minutes after seeing the arrow pass through her chest because of the snow fall we had. Even so, I found the arrow completely soaked from tip to nock with lung blood, but no blood sprayed out of her. The entire trail yeilded only "One" speck of blood, and that was at about 20 yds into the trail. Other than that no other blood was visible. Great head as far as durability and penetration but very poor for bloodtrails.

I agree with the above statements. I have shot three deer with the tekan 2's. I love them. 2 of the three traveled 40 yards tops but not get blood until 20 yards into the tracks. Thats sorta disappointing but every deer hit with the broadhead has died within a close yardage. The third one doesnt really count because i spinded her:)
